Since inception, our impact has grown from just speaking to high school student athletes and hosting fundraising golf tournaments. We have begun to present an annual “Man of Character Banquet,” seasonal appreciation luncheons, by recognizing teams that have earned divisional titles within their conference or overall championship. We look forward to growing and finding creative ways to reach young people and help them develop their purpose. We plan to execute this mission through round tables and character development workshops. Student Athletes deserve to be appreciated for their hard work and daily commitments to be successful.

Team Sports Ministries believes in recognizing student-athletes for their hard work on and off the field. Managing the life of a student-athlete, entails being coachable, disciplined, self-awareness, balance, time management, self-less but relentless attitude while being a team player, and the willingness to serve to reach a common goal, championships! Your support towards team sports ministries, helps show appreciation to these hardworking student-athletes.

Athlete Appreciation Highlight Story:

During the 2022 - 2023 men’s basketball season, William T. Dwyer High School Panthers earned their way to compete in the 2023 FHSAA Class 6A Boys Basketball State Champions.

The Panther’s defeated Ponte Verda 51-40, in Lakeland, Florida. This successful competition earned the school program their fourth state title in program history. Head coach Fred Ross, made history by leading the Dwyer Panther’s to all four title wins in 2004, 2005, 2011, and now 2023.

Through the support of our Team Sports Ministries donors and long time community partner, Mr. Dan Callaway and the team of Riviera Beach, we invited all parents, coaches and players of the Panther’s championship team to a rewarding appreciation dinner at Waterway Cafe.

From the players enjoying the experience, it was an honor to see the parents come out and celebrate with their child, team, coaches, Mr. Dan Callaway and Team Sports Ministries. The parents got to
learn more about Team Sports Ministries mission, learn about ways to get
involved.

Since inception, Team Sports Ministries was founded, through the passion of football. We are proud to have served over 5,000+ high school football layers amongst the various schools we have impacted. Football is full of energy, team bonding, sportsmanship, tenacity, and competition.

The young men that we have impacted have played football since pop warner. There have even been multi-sport athletes that decided to take on football as a primary focus. On the grid-iron, is where young men learn to become disciplined and accept accountability. Through Team Sports Ministries, is where young men increase their characteristic skills that will support their decision making to become great husbands, mentors, community servants, and overall great human-beings.

Athlete Appreciation Highlight Story:

During the 2008 - 2009 football season of William T. Dwyer High Founder, Scott Arnold, shared many practices and games supporting the team with positive messages, prayers, and sponsored meals with the team. Players gravitated towards Scott because of his relatable energy and stories. Scott never perceived to be something he is not. He met the players where they were and sought to find ways to support them and keep them encouraged.

Team Sports Ministries is honored to show gratitude and appreciation towards the entire Dwyer program and relationships established with people such as former coach Jack Daniels, Curt Maggitt, Matt Elam and many others. These moments were the beginning to the dynasty of the 2010 - 2014 Dwyer football program that went undefeated for the first time in program history. Dwyer had 36 graduating seniors for the 2013-2014 football season.
